Task Force X is the active arm of the Department of Metahuman Affairs. The current head of the Department is Amanda Waller. She reports directly to the President of the United States. Her personal assistant is Maura Dean. Reporting directly to her is Frank Rock, Nick Fury, and Henry Peter Gyrich. She also has a number of consultants with whom she directly works. Among them are Martian Manhunter, Beast (aka Professor Hank McCoy), & Dr. Moira MacTaggert.

Nick Fury (formerly of the now defunct SHIELD) is the head of Field Operations. He has six field supervisors reporting to him directly, three for domestic operations and three for foreign operations. Lynne is one of the Field Supervisors for Domestic Operations. In addition, the Freedom Force falls under his jurisdiction. Dum Dum Duggan, the current head of Freedom Force reports directly to him.

Frank Rock, the head of the Suicide Squad, took over the role when the squad was recently re-established. The Squad reports directly to Amanda Waller because it is the covert metahuman arm of the organization.

Henry Peter Gyrich serves as the Task Force X liason to the Justice League, and the assorted state metahuman agencies.
