Glider and Phera were cornerstones of the LEGION, which at that time was a revolving door. They served for some time with the team when Phera and another LEGION member, Firelance, were captured by an other-dimensional race, Ghaaraks. Phera was treated as a goddess reincarnated by the Ghaaraks, while Firelance was a prisoner doomed to die a slow painful death. Phera was seemingly brainwashed by the Ghaaraks, and loved her role as the goddess of them. Many years passed in this strange place, while only days passed in our dimension. Firelance, after some years, was sharing his cell with both Lone Wolf and Psyko. Dr. Fate effected the escape of everyone and returned Phera to normal. Dr. Fate warned Firelance to take care of Lone Wolf and Psyko, as one of them was the child of Phera. Shortly after the escape and return to our dimension,  When they were returned to this dimension, the Ghaaraks followed them. In the ensuing battle, Phera suffocated underneath an avalanche of snow. The LEGION forced the Ghaaraks back through the portal to their world, which Dr. Fate closed. No one could save Phera and, at the behest of Glider, her body was removed to another dimension by Dr. Fate in order that she may yet survive. Glider did not take the death well (which may or may not been caused by his consistent exposure to her pheromones), but immersed himself in his work to forget the pain. Dr. Fate did mention that Glider would remarry within the year, a prophesy that may or may not have come true. Six months after that, the entire active LEGION team disappeared.
