Mentallis was already at the mansion when Scarlet Speaker arrived. He was asked to wait in the conference room by the butler. After waiting a few moments, the security system alerts everyone to a security breach. Daytime, unsure what to expect, tried to break into the mansion through a window. The tension came to an end when Mentallis found Daytime climbing into the doctor's office window. Daytime tried to explain it off, to no avail. Everyone was brought back to the conference room to make small talk. Mr. Madison appeared shortly thereafter and explained to all who was present the current situation. He ended by asking everyone if they wanted to join the LEGION. Scarlet Speaker said yes without hesitation, as did Mentallis. Daytime also accepted the offer. Mr. Madison then introduced the staff, and invited everyone to stay the night or go home. He then left to retire for the night leaving everyone to talk amongst themselves.

Far Lore then arrived at the mansion. He apparently also received an invitation to join. After introductions were further made, the security system started again, indicating there was a potential breach again. The breach was traced upstairs. The group split up with all but Far Lore going up the closest stairs. Mentallis sensed the intruder in the main communications room, and Daytime tried smashing the door down, effectively shutting and denting it. A second or two later, Bronze Tiger, Firelance(formerly of the LEGION), and Karma(formerly of the Doom Patrol) arrived via an interdimensional portal. While Far Lore was laying traps for any fleeing bad guys, Daytime, Mentallis, and Scarlet Speaker had their hands full fighting the Suicide Squad. Bronze Tiger and Firelance kept the heroes busy, while Karma and a mysterious fourth person were doing unknown things in the main comm room. Far Lore arrived to help the other heroes, just as the tide of battle was turning. Apparently Karma and the fourth member of the Squad were finished, as they opened the door and came out into the hallway, which is where all the action was happening. Everyone tired unsuccessfully to nail Karma before he could leave, but his abilities protected him. Mr. Madison came upstairs to find out what was going on. He walked right into the battle, as the portal was being reopened. Nightshade came through to provide cover as the Squad fled. The entire Suicide Squad fled, except for Firelance, who was safely floating in the main comm room, thanks to Scarlet Speaker's TK spell. The portal closed, leaving the heroes to explain all the damage.

Mr. Madison, Daytime, and Scarlet Speaker took the now unconscious Firelance down into the basement and put him in a holding cell. Far Lore mysteriously left after the fight, leaving Mentallis to start de-icing the hallways. After putting Firelance in the cell, they then went to the main computer room to try to figure out what the Squad was after. After a couple of minutes, it's discovered that the login used was that of Mr. Madison. The info looked at was classified data about the identities of various heroes and villains. Mentallis, by now, was headed downstairs to join the other heroes. As she walked by the holding cells she heard a noise coming from them. Telepathically she told Daytime to come as something didn't sound right. All of them headed over to the holding cells to find an awake Firelance telling them he needed to get this bomb off his arm. After examining and questioning Firelance, it was agreed it had to be removed. Mr. Madison returned to find more info in the main computer room, while everyone else worked on getting the bomb off of Firelance without it exploding. They tried to put a force field around the gauntlet (aka bomb) inside and out, and then just yank it off. It didn't succeed as the bomb exploded as Daytime yanked it off with his hands. Daytime was hurt, but his tough hide protected from losing his hand. Firelance, however, could not say the same thing, as bits and pieces of his hand/arm flew all throughout the room. Another interdimensional portal opened. It seemed to be a rescue attempt by the Suicide Squad, as an unnatural darkness overcame the room. Nightshade and Bronze Tiger came through the portal and grabbed the now unconscious Firelance. The heroes tried valiantly to stop them from taking Firelance, but it did not happen. Mr. Madison arrived a few minutes later with even worse news. The Squad had apparently left behind a bug or virus, as the main computer was infected by PsYkOsIs. Mr. Madison and the LEGION went back upstairs to the conference room and talked about their options. The computer system would have to be fixed, without them there would be no security warning for a potential breach. As they were talking Gabriel arrived at the mansion. In a very tense moment, Gabriel was confronted by Daytime. Eventually Scarlet Speaker spoke up about his previous run-in with Gabriel. Mr. Madison watching the whole exchange, spoke up finally asking Gabriel about his killing others. Mr. Madison dismissed Gabriel, apologizing. Daytime and Scarlet Speaker returned home with their new comm watches, while Mentallis stayed onsite.
