 Love Endures All
SparrowKai sat in his room, eyes fixed on the sketching sitting
on the easel in front of him. The drawing was a pencil sketch of a woman. He sighed softly
to himself, tenderly brushing a finger over the face in the portrait. She was exquisitely
beautiful in his eyes. He adored her with every fiber of his being, but could not bring
himself to tell her. He looked through his paints, hunting for the right colors to finish
the portrait in. He frowned, unsurprised, as all of his shades of one particular color
were gone again. He then left to go find what he needed.
Arania knocked on the partially open bedroom door, before opening it the rest of the way,
hoping to talk to the occupant.
"Sparrow, are you in here? I need...." She froze midstep as she saw the picture
on the easel. She stepped closer, taking in the details of her own face on paper. It was
almost like looking in a mirror. Sighing softly, she nodded to herself and left the room.
She walked back to her own room, so lost in her thoughts, she didn't even notice almost
being bowled over by Blue and Jewel as they ran by. MusiKai found her in the same state
hours later.
"Arania, love, is there something bothering you?" He asked as he took her hands
and sat with her on their bed.
"Mus, you know how much I love you, but, I want to be with someone else too. I love
him also, but not the same way as I love you. You are my first, and will always hold a
spot in my heart that no other person could ever touch."
Mus rubbed his eyes, sighing deep within. He had been afraid of something like this
happening. He was jealous, he could admit that freely, he was dead yes, but this dead man
did feel. But, in the end, his desire for her to be happy won out over it a thousand times
over, it was the most important thing in the universe to him.
"Arania, I love you more than anything in this world, or any other. If it is
something you truly desire, and will make you happy, " His voice softened as he
looked into her white eyes, "then as hard as it may be for me, I will try to accept
it. But I will tell you this, if he ever even thinks of doing something that will cause
you pain, I will kill him dead-dead."
She smiled gently and wrapped her arms around him, kissing him with as much love and
passion as their first night together. Thanking him with her body, over and over until the
time came for them to join everyone else at dinner.
