My Opinion:
Another movie I've seen in the theater. Being that I am as old as the original Alien movie
, I have watched it numerous times, including in the theater when it was rereleased
recently. With the exception of a couple minor, explainable nitpicks, this movie stayed
pretty true to Alien Mythos. Unfortunately, I am not as familiar with Predator mythos, so
I can't say how true to them they were.
Overall, this is a great action movie with numerous nods to the previous Alien movies.
This includes, but isn't limited to, Charles Bishop Weyland himself, since the name of the
company from the first three movies is Weyland-Yutani Corporation. I enjoyed the strong
characters, specifically Alex Woods, the lead female. That is another similarity to the
Alien movies, she is strong and intelligent, like Ripley. I wish they would have expanded
on some of the other characters more, but the scenes after the Predators and Aliens start
fighting are worth it.

Overall view of the DVD:
This is a movie that was given a lot less credit by fans and critics alike then it
deserved. It wasn't as suspenseful as the previous Alien movies, but it made up for that
in how well the fight scenes played out. It had more of the feel of the Predator movies
then the original Alien. I would rate it higher, but there are those minor nitpicks that
my own mind keep coming back to, though they shouldn't bother anyone who is not as much a
fan. I loved the nods to previous movies, and that is something excellent to keep an eye
out for. Overall this movie is worth at least the rental, and is a fun movie for a night
in.
